Lydia Daum holds a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has been a professional designer since 2007. She can play the accordion but can't whistle. She wears her granddad's glasses but looks just like her grandma. Amar&Riley was founded in Chicago in 2016. In 2021, Lydia's husband Simon, also a SAIC grad, joined the fold. In 2022, they moved their life and life's work to beautiful Bellows Falls, Vermont.
